Roofing Service
Fascias & Soffits
UPVC fascia and soffit replacement, timber repair, and new installations by Legacy Roofing across Berkshire and London — improving the look and weather protection of your roofline.
Fascias and soffits sit at the point where the roof structure meets the exterior wall — a zone that is permanently exposed to driven rain, UV degradation, and the inevitable moisture that finds its way around the edges of roof coverings. Timber fascia and soffit boards on properties built before the nineties are approaching or past the end of their practical life on many houses across Berkshire and London, showing as soft spots, flaking paint, dark staining, and eventual rot.
Legacy Roofing replaces fascias and soffits across Berkshire and London, working predominantly in UPVC cellular systems that do not rot, do not need painting, and are maintenance-free. We strip back to the rafter feet, check the structural timber for any rot that has extended behind the board, treat and cut back where necessary, and fix the new system securely.
New fascia and soffit work is also an opportunity to renew the guttering at the same time — gutters fix to the fascia board, and if the board is being replaced it costs little extra to put a fresh gutter run on at the same time.
For older properties in conservation areas or where the existing profile is timber-beaded, we can advise on profiles that maintain the visual character of the roofline.

Fascias & Soffits — Common Questions
A quality UPVC fascia and soffit system should last 25 years or more with no maintenance beyond an occasional wash.
If your roof space requires ventilation — which most modern rooflines do — vented soffit panels are the correct choice. We assess and advise as part of the quotation.
Yes, though we will assess the soffit condition at the same time. If the soffits are borderline it often makes sense to do both while scaffolding is in place.
